Support the Education of the Chaikuni Field Team
At Salvaje, we believe that knowledge is a powerful tool for protecting the rainforest. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Chaikuni Institute, our main ally, to support the education of their field team. Through this program, we can help these forest guardians continue learning and empowering their communities, all while caring for the Amazon that we all love. 🌿
Meet the Chaikuni Field Team
High School Student
Jorge Guzmán
Father of six, Jorge has never lost sight of his dream to finish high school and become a carpenter. Through education, he not only seeks a better future for himself but also aims to be a role model and a source of stability for his family. With your support, Jorge can complete his education and pass on his knowledge to future generations.
English Language Student

Juan has decided to embark on learning English. This language will be a powerful tool that will open new opportunities for his daughter and enhance his contribution to the projects of the Chaikuni NGO. For Juan, learning English is a way to inspire his community and strengthen his family’s legacy.
Electrical Technician Student
Eder Baneo
A graduate as an Agricultural Technician, thanks to "Amazon Scholars 2023", Eder is passionate about his work and now wants to specialize in electricity, focusing on renewable energy. This new skill will allow him to better meet the needs of his community, ensuring a sustainable future for his land and family.
Agricultural Equipment Technician Student
René Padilla
René comes from a Quichua community on the Peru-Ecuador border. He carries with him the valuable knowledge of his culture and dreams of becoming a technician specializing in the maintenance and repair of small machines like chainsaws and boat engines, essential tools in the region. Additionally, René is interested in deepening his studies in meliponiculture and agroforestry, vital areas for the sustainable development of his community.
Why This Matters
Empowering Education
Education in the Amazon is a challenge. Limited access to resources and the remoteness of educational centers are barriers that hinder the progress of talented individuals. This program seeks to break down those obstacles and give them the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Community and Ecological Impact
We’re not only enhancing the well-being and growth of the Scholars communities but also contributing to the protection of the Amazon rainforest. As they gain new skills and knowledge, they bring them back home—applying what they’ve learned to regenerative projects that benefit both their people and the land.
Our Team and Experience
We have managed an educational project in 2023 and 2024 and provided financial support to Eder, who graduated as an Agricultural Technician, Ronaldo, who completed his tourism studies and now leads projects in his Kukama community and Jorge, who finished the first half of his highschool education. This success motivates us to continue supporting those committed to the well-being of the rainforest and its people.
